These student officers represent the concerns of their fellow students in concert with students from the other 13 schools and colleges of Howard University to the Deans, Administrative staff and university officials.
Our student government actively promotes student activities, American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature membership and involvement as well as Washington Theological Consortium interactions.

Mr. Jamerson CS Watson | Executive President
Jamerson Watson is a dual degree candidate at Howard University, pursuing an MSW and MDiv. He's worked in the anti-violence and housing justice field for over 20 years working with rape crisis centers, batterer intervention programs, and housing programs and has provided training and technical assistance for several organizations across the US. Jamerson is currently co-founder of Liberation In Action, a consulting group that seeks to ensure liberation is at the forefront of all DEIB work. In his spare time, Jamerson is the online campus pastor at a church located in the San Francisco Bay Area, a mentor at the DC Dream Center, and curates Spotify playlists to accompany him on frequent road trips across the Eastern seaboard.
Megan Rivers | Vice President of Finance
Megan Rivers is an orator, daughter, sister, mentor, and Emmy Award-winning reporter, and morning News Anchor. A mainstay in Baltimore news, she wakes up viewers every weekday morning on WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore. Megan’s passion for community was nurtured by strong women who inspired her to use her voice boldly. As a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she learned the power of sisterhood and service. In 2024, Megan enrolled in Howard University’s School of Divinity, where she is pursuing a Master of Divinity. When Megan isn’t chasing the next story, she’s crafting her own narrative—laughing with family, enjoying the outdoors, or giving back to the community. An avid reader, Megan enjoys reading fiction to spark her creativity, a good sweat at the gym, or preparing a delectable meal in her kitchen.
Elijah Strong | Vice President of Outreach
As a seasoned organizational communicator, Elijah Strong specializes in brand management, content strategy, and storytelling for diverse sectors, including K-12, higher education, and nonprofit organizations. Currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Howard University School of Divinity, Elijah is passionate about integrating literacy as a core philanthropic mission. He collaborates with clergy, nonprofits, and schools to create initiatives that bridge literacy access gaps and build resilient, literate communities. As the founder and CEO of Pivot to Growth, he has guided over 100 brands in establishing their digital presence and navigating startup challenges. Elijah's work focuses on the Black church’s role in expanding educational access for K-12 students and beyond.
Jeffrey “Jay” Cuttino | Washington Theological Consortium Rep
Jeffrey “Jay” Cuttino is a Master of Divinity student at Howard University School of Divinity and serves as a Washington Theological Consortium Board Representative. With a passion for theological education rooted in liberation and justice, Jay brings experience in public service, interfaith engagement, and community-based ministry. Balancing his studies with being a father, husband, and creative entrepreneur, Jay is passionate about accessible, transformative theological education. He founded Street Disciple University and Street Disciple Clothing to empower the African Diaspora through faith, culture, and community engagement. His work is rooted in a theology of discipleship that prioritizes equity, grassroots empowerment, and the transformation of society through faith in action.
Rev. Carla Hunter Ramsey | Washington Theological Consortium Rep
A Hollis, Queens native, Rev. Carla Hunter Ramsey has invested the past two decades creating award-winning global supply chain corporate social responsibility initiatives regionally and globally. Carla has build a career in contracts, management, and community engagement, making people a priority over profit. Her current work supporting electricity, natural gas, and clean energy delivery, serving more than 20 million people through networks in New York and Massachusetts. Bringing social entrepreneurship and service to the forefront of God's work, Rev. Carla has been a thought leader in change management, building the road map for a successful diverse and inclusive cultural transformation in her home, church, community, and broader networks.
