Director of Contextual Theology

Dr. Perzavia Praylow is Director of Contextual Theology at HUSD where she administers the following contextual theology programs:  Field Education, Clinical Pastoral Education, Spiritual Formation and International Programs.

Field Education

At HUSD, Field Education is experiential or contextual learning, incorporating faith, action, and reflection. Field education is an integrative component of our Master of Divinity Degree where students engage practical ministry in diverse ministry settings.  

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
Clinical Pastoral Education is interfaith professional education for ministry. It brings theological students and ministers of all faiths (pastors, priests, rabbis, imams and others) into supervised encounter with persons in crisis. https://acpe.edu/education/cpe-students

Continuing Education

Continuing Education programs at HUSD empowers and equips leaders through vocational discernment, leadership development and organizational transformation programs.

Spiritual Formation
Spiritual formation programs at HUSD the spiritual journey of the broader HUSD community.  Participants grow deeper in their spiritual journey while discerning God’s call for their lives and the organizations they lead.

International Programs

HUSD provides international educational and practical ministry opportunities for students, faculty, alumni, staff and the broader HUSD community.
