Spiritual Formation

Spiritual formation programs at HUSD the spiritual journey of the broader HUSD community.  Participants grow deeper in their spiritual journey while discerning God’s call for their lives and the organizations they lead.  All students, faculty, staff alumni and the broader HUSD community are welcomed to join and attend all spiritual formation programs sponsored by the School of Divinity.

Currently, the Divinity School Community worships in Dunbarton Chapel and virtually on Zoom. During the academic year, students, alumni, faculty, area residents and other guests come to fellowship and share during chapel services on select Wednesdays, as well as other special events. Speakers and artists, locally and nationally, bring a diversity of gifts to chapel services.

The Chapel serves as a venue for worship, ecumenical and interfaith exchange, parish ministry preparation, community building, and personal devotion and meditation. Students are given the opportunity to serve in four key areas that promote the Chapel's communal vision:

(1) Chapel Administration
(2) Worship Leadership
(3) Maintenance and Stewardship
(4) Praise Team.
